To this day, Canadian coins confuses me to no end.
Back home, coins come in:
One cent,
five cents,
ten cents,
twenty cents and
fifty cents.
Bruneian coins
It's easy for me to keep track. When paying at the cashier, I can add up the number and type of coins I should use very quickly.
Canadian coins on the other hand...
Canadian Coins
Coins here come in:
One cent (penny),
five cents (nickle),
ten cents (dime),
twenty five cents (quarter),
one dollar (loonie),
two dollars (toonie)
When I head to the cashier to pay for my food/drink/shoes/whatever, I have mini panic attack. I hate holding up the line. And I am still not used to the coins here so I usually end up taking the easy way out and hand the cashier the dollar bills. At the end of the day, come home with my wallet full of coins and I end up using up all my dollar bills. Well, it all balances out when all I have to spend are coins... So it's not all bad. :)
So that was my rant of the day. You'll probably see me blogging more often as the finals creep on closer. It's my way to de-stress.
